Description

Designed by legendary scale model designer Fred Reese of Golden Age Models, this 1/4-scale Ryan STA is an exceptionally accurate representation of the iconic 1936 aircraft. Built by Bill Ensley for Top Gun event, to competition-scale standards with hidden control linkages, fabric finish, pinking tapes, and stitching, it is a rare opportunity to own one of Fred Reese's most respected designs. 1936 Ryan STA – Golden Age Models – 1/4 Scale – DA-50 Gas Offered for sale is a beautifully crafted 1/4-scale 1936 Ryan STA built from the renowned Golden Age Models kit. This aircraft was built to an exceptionally high standard with scale competition in mind, featuring outstanding craftsmanship and authentic scale detailing throughout. The airplane is finished in the classic NC17368 color scheme with a beautiful fabric-covered and painted finish, complete with pinking tape, simulated rib stitching, and numerous scale details. To preserve the authentic appearance of the full-scale aircraft, all control linkages are completely concealed inside the airframe, eliminating external pushrods and giving the model a true scale look. Included with the sale is the original Golden Age Models scale documentation binder, containing three-view drawings, authentic color specifications, scale detail references, and photographs of the full-size aircraft—an excellent resource for collectors and scale enthusiasts.
